The solid block flange is used to terminate the end of a piping system. It does not have a hub or a bored centre.
The SAE blind flange is assembled by using 4 cap screws flange connection.
It blocks off a section of pipe connection on a vessel that is not in use.
High pressure application
The SAE Blind Flange can withstand pressure up to 6000 PSI which is equivalent to 420 bars.

It is applicable in larger piping line where 3 to 5 inches’ pipe is required.

The workable pressure of SAE Blind Flange is 500 PSI or 34 bars for piping size more than 3 inch.

While the minimum pressure for flange size in between 1/2 inch to 1 inch is 345 bars or 5000 PSI.

The pressure of the forged flange body allows the flange to install in high-temperature environment and achieve corrosion resistance.
Leak Free Connection
The simplicity of the SAE Blind Flange standard design is proven to be better than the traditional threaded port installation methods. There is a much lower tightening torque value required when it comes to installation with a piping line. They allow easy assembly in tight spaces and create a leak free connection. It is critical and important with pipeline applications, especially for high pressure systems.
